The JCVI has issued updated guidance on the use of the Astra Zeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
JCVI advises that, in addition to those aged under 30, unvaccinated adults aged 30 - 39 years who are not in a clinical priority group at higher risk of severe COVID-19 disease, should be preferentially offered an alternative to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, where possible and only where no substantial delay or barrier in access to vaccination would arise.
From Monday 10th May
People over the age of 40 can book AstraZeneca first dose appointments at Belfast's SSE Arena vaccination centre or community pharmacies.
People aged 18-39 can book their Pfizer first dose appointments at regional trust vaccination centres.
People aged 18-39 can opt to receive AstraZeneca vaccine from participating community pharmacies if they would rather not wait to receive an alternative to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
In ensuring that you are fully informed of these changes, please read a copy of the HSC Public Health Agency leaflet which has been updated.
The Healthcentre Pharmacy is providing the AstraZeneca vaccine.
If you have booked at the pharmacy and wish to cancel your appointment and book another appointment at one of the Trust centres please let us know via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning us on 02893365111.
