Do you really need to see a G.P?

Patients suffering from minor ailments can now be treated on the NHS at the Health Centre Pharmacy.

The minor ailments scheme offers treatment for the following conditions:

  • Athlete's foot
  • Dhobie itch
  • Diarrhoea
  • Head lice
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal Thrush
  • Cold sores
  • Ear wax
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Oral thrush

This service will take some pressure off GP practices, allowing doctors more time to deal with more serious complaints, while offering patients easy access to treatment through the pharmacy.

People now have the choice and convenience of visiting the pharmacy, where they can access expert advice on minor ailments and, where appropriate, medicines without the need for a prescription.

Our Pharmacists are highly trained professionals, who can diagnose and treat such minor ailments, while advising patients with more serious complaints to visit their GP.
