Part-Time Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser / Accuracy Checking Technician – Carrickfergus
Permanent, part-time position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1.30pm–5.30pm (20 hours per week)
Pay: From £12.91 per hour

Work location: In person at The Health Centre Pharmacy, Carrickfergus

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser or Accuracy Checking Technician to join our friendly, experienced team on weekday afternoons.
Applicants must already hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services/dispensing, or an equivalent recognised qualification; have at least six months’ dispensary experience; already have the right to work in the UK; and be able to commute reliably to Carrickfergus for a 1.30pm start, Monday to Friday.

Your responsibilities
- Safely and accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy colleagues
- Provide friendly, professional service to patients
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and patient care
- Assist with NHS dispensing, repeat prescriptions and multi-medication management
- Contribute to community health initiatives and pharmacy services
Essential requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services/dispensing or an equivalent recognised qualification
- At least six months’ experience working in a pharmacy dispensary
- Existing right to work in the UK
- Ability to work on site in Carrickfergus from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
- Excellent attention to detail

Desirable
- An accredited accuracy checking qualification
- Experience using MPS dispensary software
An accuracy checking qualification is desirable but not essential. We will support a suitable qualified dispenser or technician in completing the accredited course.
You will work alongside four pharmacists, an experienced dispensary technician, and friendly dispensary and counter colleagues. Our technology streamlines routine work, helping the team focus on excellent patient care.
