Community Pharmacy NHS Covid Vaccination Service

This service provides NHS-funded winter flu vaccinations only. If you also require a covid vaccine please book here

Please ensure you are eligible before booking an appointment. If you are not eligible for an NHS flu vaccine you may wish to avail of our private flu vaccine service.


NHS Eligibility for Flu Vaccination

  • Adults 65 years and over (including those turning 65 by 31st March 2026)

  • Adults aged 18–64 in a clinical risk group (see list here)

  • Pregnant women

  • Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals

  • Carers

  • All health and social care workers, including residential/nursing home staff and domiciliary care providers


 

Do not attend if you have any symptoms of flu / coronavirus or feel unwell with a temperature.


Before Booking, Please Confirm You:

  • Meet the eligibility criteria above

  • Have not had a severe reaction to a previous flu/covid vaccination

  • Have no known allergies to egg products, chicken protein, gentamicin, or gelatine

  • Are not currently unwell with a short-term illness (e.g. cold or flu)


On the Day of Your Appointment

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes early and check in with a member of staff

  • Bring photographic ID (passport or driving licence)

  • Health and social care workers: please bring proof of employment (e.g. staff ID badge, payslip, or employer letter with photo ID)

  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm (preferably a short-sleeved T-shirt)

  • After vaccination, you will be asked to remain seated for 10 minutes for observation


Please note: This service is available in-pharmacy only and runs from October to March (flu season).
